Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is when there is pain goes through the wrist and possibly through the arm. How is it caused? The reason of this illness is because of the median nerve which runs from forearm to the palm. The median nerve controls the sensation of a hand or a finger allowing them to move. However, when median nerves are pressured by over typing using a computer, it may be the cause for the carpal tunnel syndrome. The nerves inside a hand is narrow making it easier to cause an issue when thickening or swelling occurs making it compressed. |

This is common for people at work since a lot of people sit down and type computers all day which might cause this issue and due to the statistics from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, approximately 2/3 of all work injuries were caused by the carpal tunnel syndrome. How does it affect our body?
The symptoms of this illness may be burning , tingling and itching on the hand and also feel swollen even though it is not apparent. This may lead to decreased grip strength and unable to grab objects or do daily life actions. Untreated patients may have the muscles in fingers wasted away and in serious cases, the patient may not be able to tell the difference of hot and cold. |
